“Amboyna #1″- The rich red burl grain of rare Amboyna wood swirls in this stately men’s fine writing desk pen.
Amboyna is a beautiful, rare red wood native only to Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands. Married with the smoky gun metal pen fixtures, it makes a stately men’s desk pen. This pen is slightly longer than traditional twist pens, measuring 5 1/4 inches in length. But unlike other desk pens, Amboyna #1 features a gun metal pen clip to fit in your pocket on the go.
This pen was cut from a single piece of Amboyna wood, shaped and sanded by hand on a lathe, and given a high gloss coat. It received a thin coat of tung oil to bring out the grain before receiving its durable finish of cyanocrylate, which was buffed to a high gloss shine. It is set in smoky gun metal fixtures, opens with a twist and writes in ballpoint black ink.
