About serendipitywoolworx

A Very Warm Welcome to All My name is Dottie and I am Owner, Maker, Designer and Curator of Serendipity Wool Worx.I studied Rug Hooking and Hand Dying at "The Clearing" Folk School on Ellison Bay in Door County Wisconsin. I have always loved to make things.I grew up in a family of craft crazy relatives. Both of my Grandmothers were quilters and loved to crochet and knit.I loved to visit my Great Aunts so I could admire all of their handmade pretties ,they would teach me embroidery and how to knit and crochet. .I became interested in rug hooking while vacationing in Door County Wisconsin where I attended workshops at "The Clearing" Folk School on Ellison Bay. I was especially drawn to the wool dying process due to my background in Textile Arts.I have gone on to learn as much as possible about dying wool and started selling my first products on Ebay and in my Etsy shop. I love making special colors for Rug Hookers and Fiber Artists and become so excited when a buyer makes comments like:) "This color is beautiful and just so perfect for the project I am working on" As a seller of craft supplies, this makes my day!
