My name is La’Riesha and I’m like everyone else out there: I work a 9-5, come home and deal with the family and thank God that I have enough time to sleep at the end of the day. Day in and day out, that was the routine and schedule. If I was bored I would watch TV or read a book. That was my existence for a long time until I discovered jewelry making. I started to feel like I should be doing more with my life. I was looking for an outlet; something for me to look forward to that I can call my own. Jewelry has been that for me. I’m all self taught and through my experiences I have learned what I like. I stared making jewelry in March of 2012 and I’m thankful that I have come so far that I’m already opening a Jewelry store. Now that it’s been a while and I’m SO proud of what I have accomplished! Calypso Candy is really a creation of what I like most about life: natural sea and earth pieces in beautiful settings.
